Donya began dancing at the age of 12 at Sharmila Dance School and joined the Sharmila Dance Company at 15. Trained extensively in Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary, Street Jazz, and Hip Hop, she has performed at major international events including The World Cup, Fashions Shows, Akon and Mika concerts, and many others.
Driven to refine her craft, Donya moved to Paris to pursue advanced professional training, where she toured for a year performing alongside renowned French artists and iconic 80’s music stars such as Patrick Hernandez, famously known for Born to Be Alive as well as the Mickael Jackson Show.
Today, Donya teaches and assists Sharmila at the centre. She also performs in Dubai’s entertainment scene, dancing at prestigious events such as the TikTok Awards, the opening ceremony of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), and numerous high-profile award ceremonies at the Dubai Opera and Royal Atlantis. Alongside her performance career, Donya has also ventured into fashion as the founder of Boa Lane, a contemporary activewear brand that blends high-end style with performance functionality.
