Katherine’s first performance was a tap dance to the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse March at 6 years old, and she’s been chasing that high ever since. Her training encompasses ballet, tap, jazz, and contemporary dance, and she is a graduate of the University of Cape Town’s Theatre & Performance program. Katherine has worked with multiple dance and theater artists in both Dubai and Cape Town, including immersive Shakespearean productions and leading an original tragicomic physical theater production.
Katherine obtained a Postgraduate degree in Education in 2023, and currently teaches students from ages 3-33+ in multiple dance styles. She also teaches the LAMDA Acting Exam syllabus in Dubai schools, and has facilitated workshops for dance film production. She is a passionate teacher for younger learners and has choreographed junior musical productions across multiple schools. She now teaches tap dance at Sharmila Dance Centre at Beginner and Intermediate levels
